The awe-inspiring beauty of nature has captivated Charlene since childhood. Road trips on summer vacations with her family to many of our beautiful U.S. National Parks were her first opportunities to try her hand at photography. Her very first images were captured with a Kodak Instamatic camera that was given to her at the age of ten. The excitement of recording on film her unique vision of the environment led her to purchase her first 35mm camera in her late teens. She is primarily self-taught and has been fortunate to have honed her craft with inspiration from other professional photographers over the years.

These days she captures her images with a professional digital SLR camera and does all her own digital imaging.
